PENSIONS ARE THE FORGOTTEN CRISES.
Baby Boomers will make a huge entry into the pension
world when government workers go to the well for
both their social security and government pensions.
Government pensions could be half that of social
security. The only way to fix this pending double
crises is to grow our way out of it. To accomplish
this, spending on all levels of government must
be reduced and the private sector must become
competitive in the world market. As government
expenditures are cut, surplus money can be used
to fund Social Security, while the lessened burden
on businesses will enhance their prospects for
growth. Unless this is done, millions of citizens
may never see their pensions. - Ed Dedelow
