GOVERNMENT CAN NOT RAISE TAXES AND SPEND OUR WAY OUT OF A RECESSION.

The only real stimulus is a universal tax cut that can be applied throughout the nation. The consumer will then determine where these funds will provide them the greatest benefit and businesses will respond with jobs in those sectors.

Very little stimulus spending actually reaches the general public. Such spending generally:

A. Focuses on a small sector of the economy

B. Is designed to complete a politician's pet project

C. Benefits favored donors

D. Benefits special interest groups

E. Only partially funds a projects that may requires millions in new taxes

F. Costs hundreds of thousands even millions per each 5 figure job created

Florida is especially dependent on the health and welfare of the rest of the nation and is not going to benefit by time-limited, job-limited, special interest, and tax-funded stimulus spending. We are in a recession because of the rising cost of government. - Ed Dedelow
